Hi everyone, welcome to Lawyershop TV, I’m Greg McKinney.

This month we’re doing something a little different, ok a lot different.

We’re taking a break from the legal news we usually cover and lighten things up with a look at some of the best video we could find on You Tube of the really stupid crooks from around the country.

Here now is a look at our top five.

We begin with this pair of rocket scientists who had the brilliant idea to rob a store that had a boatload of expensive electronic equipment.

This is the definition of a good news/bad news proposition.

The good news is----there’s a ton of expensive high tech electronic equipment.

The bad news? The company they chose to rob----sells security cameras.

As one store employee put it, “you’d have to be a bloody idiot to break into this store.

The news gets worse for one of the robbers. When the story of the attempted heist was featured on the local news---his own mother recognized him from the surveillance video and turned her son in!

Our number 2 stupid crook of the month shows a would-be purse snatcher who chose the wrong female victim.

As the elevator door opens, he runs and grabs the purse but the strong woman in the skirt is having none of it.

She saves the purse then picks the guy up---and body slams him to the ground!

Hopefully he’ll think twice before he pulls that stunt again.

There’s nothing funny about getting a DUI----but this guy puts on a show at the police station that will make you glad he’s there instead of out on the roadways.

The officer asks the suspect to take his drivers license out of his wallet. Seems like a reasonable request.

But the guy drops his wallet on the ground. What happens next is not going to help his case any.

As he reaches down to get it--- he falls forward (leaving the backside of his pants behind) and slams his head into the plaster of the wall in front of him.

Once he gets up---the DUI proceedings continue.

He’s asked to put his hands on the table. The problem is apparently he can’t find the table----or his footing. Out the door he stumbles, and he boldly introduces himself to another wall in the other room.

The officer had the best quote, simply saying to the suspect, “you’re going to have to quit doing that you know?”

Number four on our countdown---this anxious dude who looks like a scared cat in the night at the counter of this convenience store.

As he waits for the clerk to get the money out of the cash register, he sets a rifle on the counter.

Not a good idea----as the clerk has lightening quick hands, grabs the shotgun and dodges the crook who dives head first over the counter and to the ground.

The only thing more impressive than that dive---was when the suspect hopped back over the counter and sprinted out the door.

The clerk, not satisfied--- heads to the door to see if the would-be robber wants a little of his action now.

And finally----our number one stupid crook of the month

Takes us to London, England, where a bank robber approaches a teller and demands cash. But alert employees activate a security shield and there’s no chance the guy is going to get the money here.

The robber bolts to the door and tries to escape---only to find that the door will not cooperate. He tries repeatedly to break the door down and figures he’s locked inside. Little did he know---all he had to do was pull the door open-----not push it.

Just when all seems lost---an innocent old lady walks in the door

And the robber gets away.

In the end the surveillance video was all the cops needed to catch the seriously confused robber.

Well, there you have it. That’s our top 5 stupid crooks of the month.
